About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) App-Entwickler Android (m/w/d) to join our dynamic development team. This full-time, permanent position is available immediately at one of our development sites in Erfurt, Mannheim, or Maribor (Slovenia). As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining an internationally deployed Android application used for parameterizing and managing IoT measurement devices and radio systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating intuitive UI concepts and business logic, conducting developer tests independently, and ensuring the timely creation or revision of technical documentation such as specifications, realization concepts, and implementation descriptions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware developers, product and project management, system architects, quality assurance, and external developers, working within an agile and fast-paced environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a completed degree, apprenticeship, or relevant professional experience in computer science or software development. You should possess extensive knowledge and several years of practical experience in Android app development and software product development. Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Kotlin, Compose, and MVVM architecture is essential. You should be familiar with version control systems like GIT and SVN, as well as common CI/CD tools. Experience working with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira is highly desirable. Knowledge of AI-driven programming techniques is a plus. A passion for new technologies, digital transformation, IoT solutions, and artificial intelligence is important. Additionally, you should be comfortable working with standard office and ERP applications, and have strong communication skills in both German and English. The ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively within international teams is crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities Develop and contribute to a globally used Android application for configuring and managing IoT measurement devices and radio systems. Create and refine UI concepts and implement business logic to ensure user-friendly interfaces and robust functionality. Perform independent developer testing to verify application stability and performance. Prepare and update technical documentation, including specifications, realization concepts, detailed descriptions, and implementation guides, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Participate in international and cross-site R&D projects, working closely with hardware developers, project managers, system architects, quality assurance teams, and external partners. Work within an agile team environment, actively contributing ideas, managing interfaces, and adapting to project needs.
