Purpose of Role
Responsible for overseeing and supporting the Company’s state and federal
regulatory reporting obligations. Ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant
preparation and submission of required reports, including but not limited to
HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) and NMLS Mortgage Call Reports (MCR).
Supports regulatory examinations, data governance, reporting controls, and
ongoing monitoring of reporting requirements across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
* Coordinates preparation, validation, and submission of state and federal
regulatory reports, including HMDA Loan Application Register (LAR) and annual
submission, NMLS Mortgage Call Reports (MCR) and State-specific periodic
reports.
* Maintains reporting calendars and ensure timely submissions across
jurisdictions.
* Monitors regulatory changes impacting reporting requirements and implement
updates as needed.
* Oversees HMDA data integrity, validation, and reconciliation processes.
* Coordinates cross-functional data collection with Operations, Servicing,
Secondary, and IT.
* Reviews edit checks and resolve data discrepancies prior to submission.
* Supports annual HMDA submission and respond to CFPB or state regulator
inquiries.
* Maintains documentation evidencing HMDA data governance controls and
methodologies.
* Coordinates completion and submission of quarterly and annual MCR filings
through NMLS.
* Reconciles financial and loan activity data in partnership with Finance and
Accounting.
* Ensures narrative responses and required attestations are completed
appropriately.
* Maintains documentation supporting MCR data inputs and assumptions.
* Develops and maintains reporting procedures, data dictionaries, and
methodology documentation.
* Establishs and monitors reporting controls to ensure accuracy and
completeness.
* Conducts periodic internal reviews of reporting data.
* Identifies and escalates reporting risks, trends, or inconsistencies.
* Supports state and federal examinations related to regulatory reporting.
* Provides requested documentation and explanations regarding HMDA, MCR, and
other filings.
* Drafts written responses to regulator inquiries.
* Maintains centralized documentation within governance systems (e.g., Archer).
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports To
* Senior Compliance Officer
Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies
* Minimum 3 years of related experience in compliance, risk management, or
internal audit within financial services.
* Mortgage industry experience, including monitoring or testing of loan
origination, performing servicing, and default servicing operations.
* Knowledge of the mortgage lending process and related legal and regulatory
requirements.
* Experience across the full monitoring and testing lifecycle, including test
design, execution, issue identification, root cause analysis, and remediation
validation.
* Demonstrated ability to draft clear, defensible issue statements and support
corrective action efforts.
* Strong understanding of Regulation C (HMDA) requirements.
* Familiarity with NMLS and MCR reporting requirements.
* Experience working within established compliance or risk frameworks.
* Experience supporting co-sourced, outsourced, or offshore testing
environments preferred.
* Experience with issue tracking systems such as Archer preferred.
* Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
* Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is inclusive of all geographical
differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be
determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills,
education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the
importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team
