About the Institute of Hiring Science (IHS)
The Institute of Hiring Science is established to transform hiring from an intuition-driven practice into a rigorous, evidence-based discipline.
We operate at the intersection of research, industry, and systems design working to define standards, build benchmarking frameworks, and establish a canonical body of knowledge for hiring.
This is the early foundation of a new field.
Why this role exists
The hiring industry lacks clarity because it lacks precise language.
This role exists to ensure that ideas, frameworks, and research emerging from the Institute are articulated with clarity, structure, and intellectual rigor; so, they can be understood, evaluated, and built upon.
What you will do
Write long-form articles, essays, and social media posts on hiring systems and evaluation
Translate research and internal thinking into clear, structured narratives
Work closely with research and editorial teams to ensure conceptual accuracy and depth
Contribute to newsletters, publications, and ongoing knowledge outputs
Bring structure to complex ideas without diluting their meaning
Continuously refine writing based on what improves clarity and understanding
Experience
3–5 years in content writing, preferably in long-form, analytical, or knowledge-led domains
Strong writing portfolio demonstrating clarity, structure, and depth of thinking
Experience writing for professional audiences (LinkedIn, newsletters, publications)
Exposure to research-driven or concept-heavy content
Demonstrated ability to handle long-form writing with consistency and discipline
What we are looking for
Clarity, precision, and strong narrative structure
Ability to think through what is being written, not just write it
Comfort working with complex, abstract, or evolving ideas
Willingness to iterate and refine writing deeply
Alignment with the Institute’s core conviction
