Senior Controller Location: Winnipeg, MB (2070 Logan Ave) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Shift: Day shift About us: Cadorath is a family‑owned Canadian company founded in 1954, specializing in manufacturing, repairing, and enhancing critical component parts for the aviation, agriculture, industrial, mining, and oil & gas sectors. With facilities in Canada and the U.S., we support customers ranging from local operators to major global OEMs. Our capabilities include precision manufacturing, aerospace engine and component repair and overhaul, auger manufacturing, and a wide range of advanced metal finishing and special processes. Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Controller to lead financial governance, reporting, and controllership activities across a complex, multi‑entity environment with Canadian and U.S. operations. This role works closely with the Director of Finance and senior leadership and is ideal for someone who has personally owned the month‑end close, led audits, strengthened controls, and acted as a trusted reviewer before financials go to leadership. Key Responsibilities Own and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close across multiple entities Review consolidated financial statements, intercompany eliminations, and variance analysis Ensure strong internal controls, governance, and audit readiness Partner closely with Accounting, Operations, and IT to improve processes and reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and decision‑making with clear financial insight Act as a key point of contact for auditors, lenders, and senior stakeholders What We’re Looking For CPA designation strongly preferred 7–10+ years of progressive controllership or senior accounting experience Proven experience in multi‑entity environments (Canada/U.S. exposure strongly preferred) Hands‑on ownership of close, audits, and financial controls Strong people leadership and cross‑functional partnership skills ERP experience and advanced Excel skills This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys accountability, complexity, and partnering with leadership to get the numbers right.
