Cost Controller

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: • Reconcile inventory balances with general ledger accounts on a monthly basis while maintaining and validating inventory cost data to ensure accuracy and completeness.  •  Calculate and set standard costs for raw materials and finished goods, and analyze inventory variances resulting from standard price changes.  •  Prepare regular cost analyses comparing actual results to budget, propose corrective actions, and drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant •  Monitor inbound freight costs and purchase price variances (PPV), ensuring fluctuations remain within acceptable thresholds.  •  Prepare and review production-related accounting entries for both group and statutory reporting.  •  Support the Finance Manager with monthly financial reviews and variance analysis, while preparing reports and data insights to support decision-making.  •  Prepare financial data requested by Business Units and Headquarters for consolidation purposes.  •  Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Marketing, Procurement, and Materials teams as a key finance business partner.  •  Ensure compliance with internal procedures, accounting standards, quality system requirements, and company policies, and support internal and external audit activities.  •  Promote a safe, ethical, and professional working environment and comply with occupational safety requirements.     Who You Are:   You make informed decisions by analyzing large sets of information and identifying patterns that others might miss. You communicate effectively, stay organized, and approach your work with curiosity and accountability.   For This Role, You Will Need:   • University degree in a relevant field. • Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, or financial reporting. • Knowledge of inventory control and production forecasting or planning methods. • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and accounting applications. • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail. • Effective communication and collaboration skills. • Proficiency in English and solid PC skills (MS Office, Internet, Email).   Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:   • Background in manufacturing environments or production cost analysis. • Experience improving cost control processes. • Practical exposure to HFM or similar consolidation tools. • Demonstrated ability to partner with cross‑functional teams and support audits.   Our Culture & Commitment to You:   At Emerson, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every colleague can grow, contribute, and thrive.
