Within the scope of a project for a leading client in the financial sector, we are currently looking to strengthen the team with the hiring of a Data Analyst.
Location: Porto or Lisbon

Role Overview
The selected candidate will work closely with Front Office teams within Global Markets, playing a key role in supporting business decision-making through data analysis.
This position requires the ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions, contributing to value creation through advanced analytics, data visualization, and process automation.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate their needs into data-driven solutions
Develop analytical solutions to support strategic decision-making
Retrieve, process, and analyze complex datasets (ETL processes)
Design and develop dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
Generate actionable insights and automate analytical processes
Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical teams
Independently manage complex analytical projects
Technical Requirements
Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
Professional experience in data analysis using programming languages, preferably Python (Pandas)
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to synthesize and simplify complex information
Nice to have:
Knowledge of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing
Experience with Big Data technologies such as PySpark, Presto, or Airflow
Knowledge of Power Query and DAX
Languages
Fluency in English (mandatory)

Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
Proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
Adaptability and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
