Database Administrator (Data Warehouse | Automation)

Your primary mission is to help design and implement the foundation of our Data Warehouse. You won’t just be maintaining databases; you’ll be building the pipelines that power our fashion retail analytics. Your Responsibilities DWH Construction: Support the end-to-end design and implementation of our Data Warehouse, focusing on star schemas, data modeling, and performance for complex reporting. Database Management: Ensure the health and security of our core environments, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL. Pipeline Engineering: Build and manage automated data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow between retail systems and the warehouse. Automation: Develop Python and Bash scripts to handle deployment, monitoring, and routine maintenance—minimizing manual intervention. Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SQL queries and indexing to support high-concurrency retail operations. Your Skills & Experience Experience: 2–3 years in a DBA or Data Engineering-adjacent role. Core Systems: Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL (essential), along with familiarity in MSSQL and MySQL. Architectural Mindset: Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (Fact/Dimension tables, ETL/ELT processes). The Toolbox: Proficiency in Python for automation and Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration is a major plus. Foundational Skills: Solid grasp of Backup/Recovery (RMAN/Logical), High Availability (HA) concepts, and SQL performance tuning.
