You’ll work as an embedded DevOps Software Engineer within our platform teams, designing, building and operating secure, scalable AWS environments. Design and engineer AWS cloud platforms using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, API Gateway and CloudFront, aligned to AWS Well-Architected principles. Automate everything through CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation), enabling fast, reliable and repeatable delivery. Build and operate modern platforms using containerised, serverless and microservice-based architectures. Design and maintain cloud networking and connectivity, including VPCs, routing, transit gateways, hybrid VPNs and multi-account patterns. Embed security-by-design, implementing IAM, encryption, firewalling, traffic inspection, WAF and Zero Trust aligned controls. Ensure reliability and observability through effective monitoring, logging, alerting and incident response practices. Optimise cloud performance and cost, applying FinOps best practices such as cost monitoring, rightsizing and savings plans. What are we looking for?
