Job Scope & Summary Marich Confectionery Company is a privately held manufacturer of premium chocolate and sugar confectionery products. Its office and plant are located in Hollister, CA and the company employs about 150 employees. The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing product costs across a range of inputs and assisting in determining pricing for finished products for both existing and new customers. This position liaises with the Product Development, Purchasing and Finance as well as Production and Packaging management teams, and interacts with members of the Sales Team. Duties and Responsibilities Analyze product costs, including input material pricing, material usage, and labor and Production Overhead rates to establish appropriate cost per unit. Become familiar with the INFOR Syteline Enterprise Resource Planning software, and complete reporting as requested. Model the impact of potential input cost increases and determine the impact on Finished Goods prices and gross margins. Proactively work with the Finance Team to prepare for company-wide price increases or adjustment. Conduct Competitor analysis of product costs based on ingredient composition (reverse cost engineering). Collaborate with the Product Development team to improve product costs through substitutions, process change or other design changes. Review and advise on potential to negotiate vendor quotes. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This position involves working in a temperature-controlled office environment with standard office hours. In addition, frequent visits to the food manufacturing plant may be required, where employees must adhere to strict safety and hygiene protocols. Pay Range The target salary range for this position is $70,500-$75,000/annually. The actual rate offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include years of relevant experience. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus plan.
