Job description

Product Marketing Manager Location: San Francisco, CA (In-Person, 5 days/week) The Problem As businesses grow larger, their sales spend grows disproportionately. Why? Sales—especially outbound—is still human-driven: it's subjective, hard to measure, and doesn't scale like code. This is exactly the kind of problem agents are built to solve. The Opportunity In a B2B company, the sales team is the largest organization—bigger than engineering, HR, or finance. We're building the technology to augment that entire team. Lix has built a proprietary memory system that allows us to take the place of an entire digital team—starting with sales (Selix.AI). We call it the Language Interface Experience (LIX), and it's already transforming how entire departments operate. The Role The company story is the company strategy. As our Product Marketing Manager, you're going to help spread the gospel about LIX and how it's transforming entire departments. Practically, that means you own all brand/content/inbound activities. You're a swiss army knife generalist—videos, email lists, billboard campaigns, outbound strategy, and everything in between. If it needs to go from 0→1, you're the one taking it there. Think "scrappy startup PMM" — not "big company content marketer." What You'll Do Produce and edit video content that tells our story Build and manage our email list and nurture campaigns Plan and execute billboard campaigns (yes, real billboards) Take marketing initiatives from 0→1 by yourself—no waiting for a team to form around you Ensure we are consistently running outbound and driving pipeline Write landing pages, set up HubSpot flows, cut videos, AND think strategically about positioning—not just write briefs for agencies Where the "Manager" Part Comes In Manage multiple vendors we work with for video production and content Coordinate stakeholders for design work Own and manage the systems powering our inbound engine (content marketing, automation, attribution) Our Values No matter what you know about PMM—every team member operates within these values: 1. The Wizard of Oz — Do something manually before automating it. Manually close one billboard deal in SF. Edit a video yourself. Understand the work before you scale it. 2. The Shipyard — Our unit of work at Lix. Everything has a deliverable—no theorizing. You can write a landing page, set up a HubSpot flow, cut a video, AND think strategically about positioning. You ship, not just strategize. 3. Hackathon Mentality — Get a lot done in a little time, like a hackathon. Build an entire Q3 marketing strategy in a single Saturday afternoon. 4. Disinfect with Sunlight — The first step to solving a problem is putting sunlight on the issue. Create a dashboard of our engagement metrics with a clear goal-line of where we need to get to. 5. We Love Schlep — We love the small, annoying problems. Edit a specific part of a video until it's just right. Sweat the details others skip. 6. Delta Force — A unit of A-players beats an army of B-players. Be the best at your craft. Period. 7. Beat the Starting Pistol — Don't wait for formality, completeness, or perfection to begin. This value is about the inputs, not the outputs. We have a $100k launch video to produce. Make the v1 in 2 hours. 8. Feedback Is a Gift — We take feedback seriously—no feedback is too harsh for us to learn something from. Show us how you learn from feedback and turn it into better work. Founder connection Ishan was one of the PMMs at Slack the quarter before their IPO and subsequent acquisition by Salesforce. Requirements Willing and able to work 5 days a week in-person at our SF office, minimum Prior experience in product marketing, content creation, and video editing in a fast-paced startup environment (can be your own business, a side project, another startup—we care about the work, not the logo) Comfortable with long hours, steep learning curves, and wearing multiple hats Strong interest in agentic AI, outbound sales, or startup operations Familiarity with tools like Notion, Excalidraw, Zapier, HubSpot, and the broader marketing stack is a plus
