Job description

EGXPRESS Licensee of Federal Express is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our company. Responsibilities Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to support the timely preparation of financial statements and management reports. Ensure accurate bookkeeping in line with the Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS). Coordinate with other departments to collect and record all period-related revenues, expenses, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other relevant balances. Support the maintenance and accuracy of the chart of accounts and ensure proper classification and master data integrity in the financial systems. Review account aging reports and help resolve outstanding or unusual balances as part of monthly closing. Support the treasury team by reviewing bank reconciliations and verifying interest and charge calculations. Assist in reconciling intercompany balances and preparing monthly confirmations with other group entities. Prepare basic analytical reports on P&L and balance sheet accounts for review by finance management. Provide required documentation and samples to support internal and external audit processes. Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and support during tax audits. Help reconcile fixed asset registers with general ledger and support the recording of depreciation and asset disposals. Follow the company's policies and procedures related to general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Identify and report opportunities to improve accuracy or efficiency in accounting processes. Participate in system improvements and assist in the implementation of new accounting tools and processes. Support special accounting or finance-related projects as assigned by senior team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting field. 4+ years of experience in a similar position. Strong knowledge and application of IFRSs & EASs. Proficient in the use of ERP systems (Dynamics AX). Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Experience. Proficient in the use of analytic tools such as data gathering and analysis, spreadsheets, flow-charting, and process diagramming. Skilled team player with interpersonal skills and a tracking record of successfully working with cross-functional business stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills/ analytical and organizational skills.
