How You Can Help Shape The Future This is a role within the Castrol organization and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership. The Global Head of People Relations develops and is responsible for the global labor and employee relations strategy across all Castrol entities. The People Relations Center of Excellence (CoE) provides expert knowledge and delivers services across a broad range of ER/IR topics, including labor rights and modern slavery prevention strategy, ER policies, reactive employee relations (PIPs, disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, investigations), industrial relations (in particular collective bargaining, consultation with employee representative bodies, proactive labor relations, and frontline engagement). The future role holder will lead a global team responsible for implementation as well as providing expert advice in the areas of labor and employee relations, works agreements, and labor rights. Building a culture of continuous improvement with a clear commercial focus, as well as steering all ER/IR activities to actively support the Castrol culture, is also part of the role’s responsibilities. Your new area of Responsibility – challenging and future-oriented Development and implementation of the global IR and negotiation strategy (collective agreements, social plans, local agreements) Steering and supporting complex consultation and negotiation processes at a global level Building P&C negotiation capabilities with a strong focus on commercial and strategic thinking Supporting global transformation and change initiatives Providing ER/IR support for major organizational changes Assessing risks related to collectivization and unionization, and developing preventive countermeasures Overall responsibility for EWC processes as well as European and national co-determination Ensuring compliance with labor rights and modern slavery regulations (LRMS), including monitoring and governance Leading, developing, and empowering People Relations and ER teams, including policy management and the advancement of best practices Your Qualification Profile – Profound And Passionate Successfully completed degree in HR, Law, or a related field Extensive experience in collaborating and negotiating with trade unions, as well as supporting leaders in ER matters In-depth experience in P&C functions (particularly ER/IR or partnering roles) across multiple regions Strong experience in consultation processes and stakeholder management within complex labor relations environments Proven leadership experience with a strong focus on commercial thinking and continuous improvement Global experience with compensation, ER, and IR practices across AsPAC, AME/AGT, Europe, the Americas, and the UK Solid understanding of the role of People Relations in safeguarding labor rights and managing modern slavery prevention Business-fluent English language skills, both written and spoken Any other language e.g. German is greatly appreciated Work-life Balance And What Else Makes Us Stand Out Welcome on board: Easy onboarding.
