As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dynamic product intern to join our team. This role offers flexibility, either part-time or full-time, with a start date in January or February 2026.

Key responsibilities
Campaign strategy and execution
Manage the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads using HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn and other automation tools such as Instantly.
Assist in launching email marketing campaigns and content distribution initiatives under guidance from senior team members.
Help create campaign assets, including landing pages, email sequences, and promotional materials, that align with Kara's messaging.
Monitor campaign performance metrics and assist in preparing reports on lead generation, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
Support A/B testing and optimization of email outreach, paid ads, landing pages, and content to maximize funnel conversion rates.
Identify bounced, unresponsive, or stalled leads and propose re-engagement strategies.
Improve lead quality and targeting by cleaning HubSpot data, enriching contact data using tools like Apollo, refining lead scoring criteria, and creating outreach segments.
Develop expertise in marketing clean energy solutions by creating campaigns that highlight energy efficiency, renewable energy, and decarbonization benefits to sustainability-focused decision-makers.
Design and implement AI-driven workflows to optimize outbound campaigns, including prompt engineering, message personalization at scale, and automation of lead research and enrichment using tools like GPT-based systems and other AI platforms.
Analytics and performance tracking
Monitor campaign KPIs, analyze funnel bottlenecks, and produce performance reports to inform data-driven decision-making.
Maintain and optimize marketing databases and lead lists to ensure targeting accuracy and engagement segmentation.
Assist with automation setup, lead scoring, and CRM data enrichment to streamline marketing workflows.
Marketing operations and tools
Gain hands-on experience with HubSpot, Apollo, Instantly, and Pitchbook to support campaign execution and lead management.
Assist in setting up and monitoring workflows, email sequences, and lead-tracking systems to optimize marketing processes.
Support the integration of marketing tools and help maintain data consistency across platforms.
Proactively research emerging growth marketing trends, tools, automations, and growth marketing best practices for B2B software companies.
Track competitor activity and content to inform outreach messaging and positioning.
Conduct research to understand how different industries approach decarbonization and adopt clean technologies to refine audience segmentation, messaging, and outreach strategies.
Explore and implement AI tools and agents to enhance campaign efficiency, including automating prospect research, content generation, and outreach workflows.
Learning and professional growth
Understand decarbonization pathways across different industries and how technology platforms like Kara enable organizations to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon footprint.
Deepen understanding around sustainability reporting frameworks like the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and how platforms like Kara can support regulatory compliance and climate commitments.
Develop expertise in sustainability-focused marketing by learning how to communicate about the benefits of sustainability software like Kara in reducing carbon emissions and adopting clean technologies to different target stakeholders, including sustainability directors, CFOs, and investors.
Receive 1-on-1 coaching on marketing techniques, outreach campaigns, and using CRM systems like HubSpot.
Learn about sustainability frameworks (e.g. SFDR, EU Taxonomy) and sustainability principles in the investment industry.
Develop leadership and project management skills by leading cold outreach and outbound campaigns.
Participate in weekly sales and marketing syncs to contribute ideas, share progress, and refine outreach strategies.
Support alignment between sales and marketing by sharing feedback from outreach campaign performance and content creation initiatives.
What we are looking for
Experience: Previous experience in marketing and content creation, preferably within financial institutions or sustainability sectors. Experience working with HubSpot, Apollo, Instantly, or similar tools is highly regarded.
Skills: Strong data analysis, communication, and organizational skills. Interest or experience in AI tools, prompt engineering, or workflow automation is highly valued. Fluency in English is required.
Mindset: A hard-working, enthusiastic, solutions-oriented approach with a passion for marketing, AI tools, data analysis, solving challenges, and sustainability.
Key requirements
This internship is in partnership with the NYSERDA Clean Energy Internship Program. To qualify for this internship, you must:
Either be enrolled in or have recently attended a college in New York State (within the past 12 months), or be a current New York State resident who studied in an out-of-state college.
Live in New York City throughout the internship and be able to prove residency e.g. driver's license, lease agreement, utility bill, cell phone bill, or mail sent to home address.
Be fluent in English.
Have 15 - 40 hours of availability per week (if you are currently a student, there is a maximum of 18 hours per week).
