Job description
StoreHero isn’t an analytics dashboard. We’re the AI growth coach that sits across a brand’s commercial stack, sales, marketing, finance, supply chain , and orchestrates the specialist tools brands already use: Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Shopify, and more.
We’re not hiring a content factory. We’re hiring someone who can sit with a founder, extract the story, get it on camera, and turn it into content that brings the next hundred customers to our door.
Our MCP AI Agent gives founders, operators, and agencies a single intelligent layer that paces against goals in real time, flags what’s working and what isn’t, and briefs downstream tools to act. We work with hundreds of brands and agencies.
The product is doing extraordinary things. The MCP is the most significant advancement we’ve built. It removes the last barrier between operators and the insight they need to make decisions. Now we need someone who can tell that story to the world.
Our ambition is to be the AI brain behind every profitable e-commerce brand on the planet.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who thinks strategically and ships constantly. You’ll own how StoreHero shows up in the world and how that translates into pipeline.
You’ll work directly with Karl and Thomas (founders) and be in the loop on positioning and strategy. But your real job is to make work that lands - content, campaigns, community, and customer stories that drive inbound demos.
This is a camera-forward role. You’ll appear regularly in customer interviews, founder-led video, and event coverage. You’ll also direct Karl and Thomas on camera shaping how they show up, not just appearing yourself. We’re looking for someone genuinely energised by that, not someone who tolerates it.
You’ll have a dedicated offshore video editor to handle execution. Your job is creative direction, narrative, and distribution, not hours in the timeline.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
MCP Launch & Product Marketing
Own the narrative around the MCP AI Agent , landing pages, demo assets, explainer content, and the campaigns that wrap around it
Build and ship landing pages fast: product launches, partner co-pages, event pages, prompt library showcases — designed and live, not briefed and waited for
Write content that ranks in LLM search. Our blog post on “best profit tracking tools for e-commerce” is already #1 in AI search and converting at 22%. You’ll build the content moat around it
Customer Stories & Case Studies
Run customer interviews on camera - sit with founders, extract the real story, and turn it into case studies and video content that converts
Produce founder spotlights, customer success stories, and partner features that build trust with the operators we’re trying to reach
Own the full case study lifecycle: interview, narrative, approval, publish, distribute
Video & Content
Direct Karl and Thomas on camera: brief them, shape their delivery, and help them show up as the authoritative voice in DTC e-commerce
Plan and produce short-form video showing what StoreHero and the MCP actually do — hook-led, native to the channels operators use
Write scripts, produce assets, edit with your offshore editor
Community & Events
Take ownership of the NYC DTC Builders community (1,000+ members) — events, sponsors, content, and growth
Own the marketing around events end to end: pre-event promo, on-site assets, post-event recap content
Develop paid sponsor relationships that fund the community and extend StoreHero’s reach
Campaigns & Pipeline
Plan and execute campaigns that drive inbound demos across organic and paid channels
Run paid creative tests on Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube optimise for inbound demos, not vanity metrics
Build lifecycle, nurture, and retargeting flows that turn first-touch attention into qualified pipeline
Track funnel performance end to end and feed learnings back into product, sales, and partnerships
FIRST 90 DAYS
We want you hitting the ground running, not doing archaeology. Here’s what success looks like early:
Day 30 - Expanded website. First customer interview booked and filmed. Existing content audit complete and content calendar drafted.
Day 60 - First case study published. At least two LLM-ranking content pieces live. NYC DTC community next event planned and sponsor secured.
Day 90 - Measurable inbound demo lift. Paid creative tests running. Funnel reporting in place. Karl and Thomas showing up consistently on camera with a clear content cadence.
ABOUT YOU
The non-negotiables
1–5 years in growth marketing, demand generation, or content leadership at a SaaS or e-commerce company
Genuinely comfortable on camera - and energised by it, not just willing. You’ve appeared in video content before and can show us
You can run a customer interview: make someone feel at ease, ask the right questions, and pull out a story worth telling
You can write tight copy, edit a video in Premiere or CapCut, and put together a clean landing page in Webflow, Framer, or Elementor without needing a developer for everything
Strong taste and strong instincts on what makes operators act. You can show us a portfolio of campaigns, content, and pages that proves it
Comfortable with numbers: you can read a funnel, attribute spend to outcomes, and make calls on where to double down
What will set you apart
You’re customer obsessed. You do the interviews before you write the brief. You know the difference between content that sounds right in a room and content that lands with the person it’s for
You’ve built or grown a community before — you understand that distribution is as important as the content itself
Genuine curiosity about AI as a creative and operational collaborator. You’ve already pushed Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, or Higgsfield to do real work in your output
You understand DTC e-commerce - the operators, the pressures, the metrics that actually matter to a founder running a brand
You’ve directed someone else on camera before — a founder, an exec, a customer — and you know how to get a natural performance out of someone who doesn’t think of themselves as a presenter
We’re not making this decision based on a CV and two Zoom calls. Here’s what the process looks like:
Video submission with application
Record a 90-second Loom: tell us about a DTC brand you think is doing great content marketing and why. We’ll see your camera presence, your taste, and whether you care about the space.
Portfolio review- Show us a case study you wrote, a video you appeared in, and a campaign you ran.
Mock customer interview - In the final round, you’ll interview one of our founders as if they’re a StoreHero customer. 15 minutes prep. We want to see how you listen, how you steer, and how you show up on camera.
Compensation
Competitive salary with a performance-linked bonus tied directly to inbound demos and pipeline outcomes , not vanity metrics.
Equity
Share options for the right candidate. A real stake in what we’re building.
The DTC Community
You inherit a 1,000+ member NYC DTC Builders community from day one. Most marketers spend years building an audience this warm. You start with it.
Support & Access
Dedicated offshore video editor.
Private medical.
Company pension
Remote-first with regular team offsites and the occasional trip to New York for our DTC Builders events.
