Junior AI Engineer (M/F)

Job description: Job title: Junior AI Engineer (Data & AI) Location: Katowice HUB (hybrid) Type: full time (permanent) Your role: As a Junior AI Engineer at LIPTON Teas and Infusions, you will support the development of AI agents and AI applications for internal and business use cases. You will work with experienced engineers to build and improve agent workflows on Microsoft Azure and Databricks, contribute to local testing interfaces and APIs, and help translate business needs into reliable AI solutions. This role is well suited to someone with a strong software engineering foundation, a genuine interest in agentic systems, and the ambition to grow quickly in a modern Data & AI environment. Your key responsibilities: Support the development of AI agents and agent workflows using Python and agentic frameworks. Contribute to applications and APIs for local testing, validation, and chat-based experiences. Assist with retrieval and RAG-style solutions using Azure AI Search, Databricks, and related services. Help integrate enterprise systems, documents, and APIs into AI workflows. Work with Git, CI/CD, and engineering standards to deliver maintainable solutions. Support testing, debugging, and improvement of agent performance and usability. Collaborate in Scrum with engineers, data professionals, and business stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary Data & AI team. Continuously strengthen your knowledge of Azure, Databricks, and agent engineering practices. What we are looking for: 0-2 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering, or a similar role. At minimum a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field. Strong foundation in Python. Familiarity with Azure and Databricks. Familiarity with PySpark, SQL, Git, and GitHub Actions. Basic understanding of agent frameworks, RAG concepts, and LLM-powered workflows. Interest in agentic engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, or Cursor. Ability to translate functional requirements into code with guidance from more senior engineers. Bonus: experience with FastAPI, React, TypeScript, Copilot Studio, or MCP patterns. Interest in working in Scrum and in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Strong interest in learning, sharing knowledge, and growing within a collaborative multi-disciplinary engineering team.
