Our innovative approach combines technology, community engagement, and exceptional customer service to create meaningful value for our users. Recognized for our vibrant culture and employee-centric policies, we strive to foster an inclusive environment where talent can thrive and make a tangible difference. About The Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled iOS Developer to join our dynamic technology team at Blue Light Card. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established cross-functional team responsible for developing and enhancing our mobile applications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our app experience, working on greenfield projects in a modern, serverless environment. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver innovative features that directly impact our members’ experience. This role offers a unique chance to work at the forefront of mobile technology, contributing to projects that are both challenging and rewarding. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in iOS development with expertise in Swift and SwiftUI. Experience with UIKit, Storyboards, and Swift packages is essential for building scalable, high-quality applications. Proven proficiency in implementing robust testing strategies using XCTest for unit testing and TestFlight for app testing is required to ensure high standards of reliability. Familiarity with source control tools such as GitHub and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions will streamline development workflows. Additionally, experience with cross-platform development using Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM), and knowledge of cloud technologies, including deploying serverless applications on AWS, will be highly advantageous. Candidates should also have experience integrating analytics, push notifications, crash reporting, and payment systems using tools like Amplitude, Braze, Firebase, and Stripe. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications with clean, readable, and efficient code, ensuring adherence to architectural standards. Participate in designing solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Write comprehensive unit tests and UI tests to uphold code quality, diagnose bugs, and optimize app performance. Contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring best practices are followed across the development team. Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define features aligned with the overall product strategy. Support automated build, test, and deployment processes to facilitate rapid and reliable release cycles. Document technical specifications, architectural decisions, and development processes to maintain a clear knowledge base and facilitate team onboarding. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and continuously improve technical skills and development practices. Benefits Flexible hybrid working arrangements and adaptable working hours to promote work-life balance. Onsite amenities including free parking, EV charging stations, and an onsite gym with complimentary HIIT and stretch classes. Generous holiday allowance of 25 days plus public holidays, with options to buy or sell holiday days and an additional day off for your birthday. Participation in a company bonus scheme and regular social events such as Christmas parties, summer gatherings, and sports matches. Relaxed dress code within a modern and welcoming office environment featuring games areas, chill-out zones, and a book club. Opportunities for professional growth through learning and development programs. Group auto-enrolment pension plan and enhanced maternity, paternity, and sick pay schemes. Company-funded private medical insurance and healthcare cashback plans to support your health and wellbeing. Comprehensive employee assistance program including mental health support services. Standard 35-hour workweek fostering a healthy balance between professional and personal life. Equal Opportunity Blue Light Card is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
