About The Company
BMO Financial Group is a leading financial institution committed to delivering exceptional banking and financial services to individuals, businesses, and institutions worldwide. With a rich history of innovation and customer-centric approach, BMO strives to create lasting value for its clients and communities. The organization fosters a culture of integrity, inclusivity, and continuous growth, empowering its employees to make meaningful contributions. BMO's dedication to responsible banking and sustainable growth positions it as a trusted partner in the financial industry, dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals while supporting community development and economic progress.
About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Lead Developer to join our dynamic team at BMO Wealth Management. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce Financial Services Cloud solutions that support our expanding advice-driven business and BMO InvestorLine services. Your expertise will help empower our advisors and clients across various advice channels by delivering innovative, efficient, and personalized Salesforce capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and technical developers, to translate complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions. As the primary point of contact for FSC projects, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation and support—ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of the platform.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Salesforce development and a comprehensive understanding of financial services technology. Candidates must hold a Salesforce Administrator Certification, with Salesforce Sales Cloud Certification preferred. Additionally, a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Super Badge or Accredited Professional certification is required. A bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience demonstrating relevant expertise. The candidate should have at least 7+ years of experience in the technology industry, with a minimum of 5+ years specifically in Salesforce development, including extensive experience with Sales, Service, Experience, Pardot, and other Salesforce applications. Proven experience leading FSC projects, configuring the platform, and integrating Salesforce with external systems is essential. Familiarity with declarative solutions such as custom objects, workflows, flows, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) is also required. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of permissions, roles, reports, and dashboards within Salesforce are necessary for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Design and manage the implementation of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud solutions tailored to meet diverse business requirements across multiple projects.
Lead the configuration, customization, and development of FSC applications, acting as the primary liaison for project execution.
Create detailed build tickets that specify technical requirements aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather, define, and document business needs, ensuring solutions are aligned with strategic objectives.
Develop project estimates and plans, overseeing phases including development, testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Demonstrate system functionality to business stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and provide comprehensive user documentation to support ongoing system maintenance.
Evaluate solution options, balancing declarative configuration against coding and customization, to recommend optimal approaches.
Perform impact analysis on scope changes, documenting modifications to requirements, configurations, and data mappings.
Participate in declarative system configuration and custom development activities as needed.
Provide both technical and functional expertise to project teams, ensuring solutions adhere to best practices and standards.
Design and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems for seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
Manage multiple FSC projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery aligns with business expectations and technical specifications.
Support team development by sharing best practices, internal documentation, and mentoring junior team members.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success and organizational goals.
