Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Embedded Engineer based in Navi Mumbai. The Senior Embedded Engineer will be responsible for developing and programming embedded software, debugging and troubleshooting systems, and contributing to the design and implementation of IoT-enabled medical devices. The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions for healthcare challenges. Design, develop, and debug embedded software for microcontroller and processor-based platforms. Write and optimize embedded C/C++ code for real-time and low-power applications. Develop firmware, drivers, and robust hardware–software interfaces. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-level issues and support electronics debugging. Collaborate with hardware and PCB teams to define system architecture and integration requirements. Perform system integration, validation, and end-to-end testing of embedded systems. Implement and debug communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet. Optimize system performance with a focus on memory usage, CPU efficiency, and power consumption. Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO 13485 and other medical device regulations. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs, architecture, and code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for embedded software quality. Coordinate with QA teams to plan and execute hardware and software validation activities. Support cross-functional teams during prototype development, system testing, and field issues. Mentor and guide junior team members on embedded design practices and debugging approaches. Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and development methodologies. Promote knowledge sharing through internal sessions, demos, and participation in industry forums. Qualifications Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, with familiarity in assembly language. Experience with microcontrollers, ARM Cortex, and other embedded platforms. Proficiency with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and debugging tools like JTAG. Strong understanding of hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware-software interaction. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of hardware communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, etc. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Should be aware of the ISO 13485-work environment. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail Familiarity with medical device development is a plus Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field 8-9 years of relevant experience in embedded systems engineering
