Senior Staff Software Engineer

We are looking for well-rounded backend engineers who are passionate about building and delivering reliable, scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS product s. As one of the main architect on the team, you will be integral in building this product and will be part of an agile team that is in startup mode. This is a unique opportunity to build something from scratch but have the backing of an organization that has the muscle to take it to market quickly, with a very satisfied customer ba se. Responsibili tiesProduce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requireme nts.Partner with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality softw are.Provide hands-on technical leadership, ensuring the team focuses on the right problems and builds practical, right-sized solutions without adding unnecessary complex ity.Review code and offer constructive, actionable feedback to maintain high engineering standa rds.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the st ack.Lead POCs, research new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance team efficie ncy.Thrive in a dynamic environment, staying effective while juggling multiple concurrent priori tiesShare support of critical team systems by participating in on-call rotat ion. Require ments12+ years of professional software development exper ienceStrong Java exper ienceDeep Experience working with one or more from the following: Cloud/AWS, IAM/IGA, Compliance, Security and Pr ivacyAdvanced experience with large scale databases, and related technolo gies.Expertise with messaging, queues, and events, such as Redis or KafkaDeep understanding of modern architectural patterns for SaaS systems (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed syst ems).Strong communications skills, including the ability to understand requirements and persuasively articulate technical solutions at the appropriate level of technical d epth.Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, "can-do" atti tude.Independent, highly motivated engineer who drives work forward with minimal over sightAdvanced experience with an object-oriented programming language and techn iquesBS in Computer Science, or a related field Pre ferredFamiliarity with big data ecosystems, including Airflow-based ETL workflows, data lake architectures, or platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud-native data-lake se rvicesExperience with Continuous De liveryHands-on experience building and tracking service-level objectives (SLOs) with contemporary monitoring/observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Da tadog)Familiarity with AI/Machine Le arningExperience instrumenting code for gathering production performance m etrics
