Role Overview We are looking for an SEO Specialist with a high degree of technical proficiency and strategic vision to serve as a central pillar of our delivery team. This position offers a unique balance: you will manage and grow your own portfolio of clients, including taking full ownership of Content Whale’s own global and local digital presence while serving as a strategic consultant for our SEO Executives. You will be responsible for guiding their strategies and approving their roadmaps, ensuring the entire team operates at a high standard of excellence. Key Responsibilities Internal Brand Growth and Authority Take full ownership of the Content Whale website’s search performance, implementing strategies to improve visibility both locally and globally. Optimize the site to rank for all service-based keyword clusters, specifically focusing on high-intent SEO service keyword combinations. Deliver measurable results in organic traffic, lead generation, and keyword rankings for the company's own digital presence. 2.Strategic Guidance and Approval Supervise the development of SEO strategies created by SEO Executives, providing the necessary direction to ensure they are effective and technically sound. Review and approve proposed project roadmaps and content calendars, ensuring every recommendation is backed by data and tied to the client’s business goals. Monitor the performance of these approved strategies; the success and growth of the accounts managed by the executive team serve as a primary indicator of your success. 3.Client Portfolio Management Build and maintain your own dedicated clientele, serving as their primary strategic point of contact and SME. Lead project and client kickoffs, introducing execution roadmaps and defining content goals, messaging, and tone of voice. Act as the technical authority during client discussions, addressing advanced queries regarding search engine behavior and site performance. 4.Technical and Content Strategy Conduct detailed technical, on-page, and off-page audits to identify growth opportunities and resolve underlying site issues. Develop specialized strategies for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to keep clients competitive in an evolving search landscape. Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, target audience preferences, and the competitive landscape to refine keyword research. 5.Operational Oversight Utilize ClickUp and Notion to maintain organized workflows and ensure project milestones are met without compromising quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including web development, UI/UX designers, and content writers, to ensure a cohesive approach to site improvements. Conduct periodic quality assurance (QA) checks on live implementations and generate actionable SEO reports with data-driven recommendations. Technical Skills Required Search Infrastructure: Deep understanding of crawlability, indexing, site architecture, and Schema markup. Analytics and Reporting: Advanced proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio. SEO Toolsets: Expert level use of Ahrefs, Semrush, and Screaming Frog. Performance Optimization: Ability to analyze and provide solutions for Core Web Vitals and page speed metrics. Required Experience At least 3 or more years of experience in SEO, preferably within an agency environment. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. A proven record of delivering measurable improvements in organic traffic and domain authority for diverse clients. Experience in a mentorship or supervisory role where you have been responsible for reviewing the work of other SEO professionals. Success Metrics Internal Performance: Successful ranking of Content Whale for targeted SEO-service keywords on a global and local scale. Strategy Performance: The consistent achievement of KPIs across the accounts you supervise and approve. Quality Standards: High approval ratings on internal audits and adherence to project timelines.
