Role Overview
We are seeking a SoC Embedded Engineer to support the development and integration of advanced automotive embedded platforms. This role will focus on SoC integration, BSP development, low-level embedded software, and hardware bring-up activities for next-generation automotive systems including infotainment, connectivity, and autonomous driving platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with automotive SoC platforms, embedded Linux/RTOS environments, and hands-on hardware debugging in a fast-paced product development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and integrate Board Support Packages (BSP) for automotive SoC platforms
Support embedded software development for automotive systems using C/C++
Perform SoC integration, device driver development, and low-level hardware/software interface debugging
Execute hardware bring-up, board initialization, and platform validation activities
Debug hardware and software issues using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, JTAG, and power supplies
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and application teams to support platform integration and issue resolution
Work with peripheral interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet
Support embedded operating systems including Linux, FreeRTOS, and RTOS-based platforms
Participate in system performance optimization, boot-time improvements, and platform stability enhancements
Support CI/CD and software integration activities within embedded development environments
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development with focus on automotive SoC/BSP integration
Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
Hands-on experience with BSP development, device drivers, and low-level embedded software
Strong understanding of SoC architectures and peripheral interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet
Experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux, FreeRTOS, or RTOS
Experience using debugging and development tools such as Git, Make/CMake, JTAG, and GDB
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in embedded environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Important / Preferred Skills
Strong experience with automotive SoC platforms from NXP or Qualcomm
Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, board initialization, and hardware debugging
Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies
Familiarity with automotive infotainment (IVI), connectivity, or autonomous driving platforms
Experience with embedded Linux platform integration and optimization
Exposure to security protocols and secure embedded system development
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for embedded software development
Familiarity with automotive software architecture and system integration processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SoC platforms from vendors such as Qualcomm, NXP, Renesas, TI, or Intel
Experience in Autonomous Driving, IVI, or connected vehicle systems
Familiarity with AUTOSAR or automotive middleware frameworks
Prior experience in automotive product development environments
