What are we looking for? As Technical Lead, you will lead the design, delivery and operation of secure, scalable Azure cloud platforms and DevSecOps practices. You’ll provide technical leadership across cloud architecture, automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD, while supporting teams to deliver reliable solutions. This is a hands-on role for an experienced cloud, platform or DevOps engineer passionate about platform modernisation and engineering excellence. What you’ll do? Lead the design, delivery and operation of secure, scalable Azure cloud platforms and shared services. Drive DevSecOps best practices across automation, CI/CD, testing and release management. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across cloud infrastructure and security. Improve platform reliability, observability and operational support through monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting. Design secure APIs, integrations and cloud-native solutions with strong identity and access controls. Lead cloud modernisation initiatives and migration from legacy/on-premises environments to Azure. Review infrastructure and application code to ensure quality, security and engineering standards. Mentor and lead engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and hands-on engineering culture. Partner with stakeholders and extended technology team to support delivery, capability uplift and knowledge sharing. Stay current with emerging trends and continuously improve engineering practices, tools and processes. What will you bring? 5+ years’ experience in a Technical Lead, DevOps, SRE or similar engineering leadership role. Strong expertise in Azure cloud platforms, platform engineering and production operations. Proven experience modernising legacy/on-prem environments and delivering cloud transformation programs. Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation tooling. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, testing and DevSecOps practices. Experience designing secure, scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions, including serverless architectures. Strong operational experience with observability, incident management and continuous improvement. Solid software engineering background (Node.js and/or .NET), including code reviews and technical design. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and team leadership skills. Relevant certifications in Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes or related cloud/DevOps technologies highly regarded. What next?
