About The Role As a UX Designer - Design Systems (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our product ecosystem by developing and maintaining scalable, accessible, and inclusive design systems. You will work within a multidisciplinary product enablement team, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and fellow UX Designers to create cohesive and innovative design components. Your expertise will enable the integration of AI tooling into our design systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our users and stakeholders. Reporting to a UX Manager, you will be instrumental in driving design consistency, enhancing usability, and fostering a culture of design excellence across the organization. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design system work at a meaningful scale. Degree or vocational qualification in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Deep understanding of design systems, including their architecture, implementation, and strategic importance. Hands-on experience with integrating design systems with AI tooling and token-based interactions. Proficiency in Figma for component and pattern design, prototyping, and documentation. Experience working across design, engineering, and accessibility to create inclusive and user-friendly solutions. Ability to drive strategic decisions within a product triad, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams. Passion for accessibility, inclusivity, and solving complex system-level challenges. Proactive approach with a clear plan for project execution and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Adapt and evolve the design system to incorporate AI tooling, enabling accurate prototyping and component behavior modeling. Own the lifecycle of components, patterns, and usage guidelines from definition through to delivery, ensuring consistency and quality. Identify gaps within the enterprise system proactively and translate insights into scalable, accessible, and inclusive design solutions. Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate, test, and communicate component behaviors to stakeholders effectively. Facilitate ideation sessions and problem-solving workshops with team members and stakeholders to foster innovative solutions. Ensure the design system maintains high levels of consistency and efficiency; propose new components or enhancements when necessary. Define how design and code intersect, particularly regarding AI-driven features and token-aware surfaces. Validate and refine components through usability testing, feedback, and data analysis to improve user experience continually. Deliver comprehensive documentation and handover materials to support seamless developer implementation. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to inform system decisions and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Contribute to elevating the organization’s design maturity by improving design processes and standards.
