The team you’ll join StepStone Private Debt (SPD) is a global private debt investor with over $71B in AUM/AUA including $12B based on the latest Q2 firm figures. SPD covers the breadth of the private debt market and constructs bespoke portfolios on a primary, secondary and co-investment basis. SPD focuses on two areas of the market: performing and non-performing debt across the corporate, real estate, and infrastructure sectors. What you'll do StepStone Private Debt is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the Client Solutions and Services Evergreen team and support investor relations and product management activities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with various functions, including Portfolio Management, Legal and Compliance, Reporting, Operations, Marketing, and Sales. The intern will contribute to supporting the positioning and servicing of our Private Debt Evergreen fund (SCRED) for institutional and private wealth investors globally, while also supporting internal processes that drive efficiency and growth. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in investments and private markets, excellent organizational and writing skills, and enjoys working across different topics and stakeholders. Key responsibilities Take ownership of the monthly fact card process, coordinating with the Reporting, Compliance, Marketing and Investment teams. Support the preparation and regular updating of marketing presentations and other client-facing materials. Support the coordination and preparation of responses to internal and external information requests, including RFPs, DDQs and client inquiries. Support knowledge management processes and ensure standard DDQ documents and other materials remain accurate and up to date. Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects, with a particular focus on efficiency, automation and the effective use of AI tools. Support the team with recurring processes and other operational and ad hoc tasks as required. As the intern develops in the role, there may also be opportunities to take ownership of individual projects or build deeper expertise in areas that match their skills and interests. What we're looking for Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business administration, finance, economics, management, or a related field Experience or strong interest in private markets, private debt and evergreen structures, as well as client service, marketing and sales support. Experience or strong interest in process improvement, automation and AI, with a willingness to explore and implement new ways of working. Fluency in English required; German is a strong plus Must be able to commit 12 months Proactive, hands-on, and reliable, with strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications At StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success.
