ABOUT ALEX
Alex is the AI recruiter for hiring great people.
Alex interviews, screens, and schedules every candidate – over voice, video, and text – so talent teams hire more great people, faster, without adding TA headcount. The recruiter stays in control: every shortlist is approved by a human, and every relationship and offer is owned by the customer's team.
We're past 1M+ interviews, integrate with 33+ ATS platforms, and 96% of candidates prefer interviewing with Alex. We're revenue-generating, well-funded, backed by premier investors, and are focused on enterprise customers: selling to VPs of Talent Acquisition, CHROs, and CFOs at large employers who are rethinking how hiring gets done at scale.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Sales earns the first contract. Account Management earns every one after it. You'll partner with a Forward-Deployed Engineer on every account, who owns integrations and configuration, so you can stay focused on value and revenue.
What you'll own
- Renewals, end to end. Open every renewal 90 to 120 days out, forecast it, make the value case and close it.
- Expansion. Size the next opportunity inside each account (new teams, new use cases, new regions) and go get it on paper.
- Executive relationships. Build and keep relationships with VPs of TA, CHROs and exec sponsors, plus the champions and recruiters who use Alex every day.
- Value in the customer's numbers. Agree success metrics, track them and lead business reviews on outcomes like time to first interview, hires and recruiter capacity returned.
- Adoption and change management. Help champions sell AI-led hiring inside their own organization.
- The voice of your book. Bring patterns from your book back to product and engineering.
What you can expect
Month 1: Learn & Earn Trust
- Know every account in your book: contract terms, renewal dates, champions, exec sponsors, success metrics and open risks.
- Meet every champion and exec sponsor in your book and build a renewal forecast for the next two quarters.
- Run your first renewal conversations
- Run your first business review using the customer’s own numbers (time to first interview, recruiter capacity returned).
- Ship one improvement from what you learned
Month 3: Own the Accounts
- Close your first renewals on time
- Have at least one expansion opportunity sized, in negotiation or signed (a new team, use case or region)
- Hold an executive relationship (VP of TA, CHRO or similar) in every strategic account, not just a champion
- Lead business reviews across your accounts
Month 6: Drive Growth and Build the Playbook
- Hit your renewal and expansion targets
- Forecast renewals with confidence and own a predictable expansion pipeline
- Have built something nobody handed you: an AI-led change management playbook, a segment strategy, or a repeatable expansion motion that others on the team now use
- Be the person a CHRO calls when they need to explain AI-led hiring to their own board
ABOUT YOU
- 4+ years in a quota-carrying post-sale role (Account Manager, Account Executive or similar) with a renewal or expansion number you can name
- Experience managing enterprise accounts: long procurement cycles, buying committees, multi-year contracts
- A track record of relationships at the VP and C-suite level
- Evidence you have sized and closed expansion, not just kept customers happy
- Clear, simple communication and strong commercial negotiation skills
- You've built something with AI yourself (a workflow, an agent, an automation) and can explain to a CHRO what AI transformation actually takes
- You've helped a customer's organization adopt a new way of working, not just switched on a tool
- You've built something from 0 to 1, like a playbook, a segment or a process nobody handed you. You move fast and act before you're asked
- You turn escalations into stronger relationships and work closely with engineering and sales to get customers what they need
- You want direct feedback and change course quickly when you get it
Bonus
- You have worked in talent acquisition or recruiting yourself
- You have sold or managed HR tech, ATS or HRIS products
- You have closed new business as an AE
- You have experience at a high growth start-up
This might not be the role for you if you prefer a support role without a number attached, or you don't want to work in person. We're in office in SF 5 days a week.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
- Shape the foundation of our Account Management org
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- FSA, DCFSA, HSA options
- Flexible paid time off (PTO)
- 401(k) plan
- Fully paid parental leave program
- Commuter benefits
- In office lunch
- Dog-friendly office
WHAT AM I WAITING FOR?
