Accountant Accounts Payables Services

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company. Role purpose: Performing a wide range of accounting tasks Recording accounting transactions on a daily basis Performing account reconciliations Ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness in the recorded transactions Assisting with audits as necessary Adherence to with internal and external compliance regulations Performing other tasks assigned by a Senior Accountant or Team Lead Ensure to work in compliance with Hydro Quality system, HSE regulations, policies and standardized operating procedures Key responsibilities: Processing and posting PO and non-PO invoices, credit notes, and prepayments in the ERP system Managing invoice approvals and resolving discrepancies using VIM tools Monitoring and reconciling outstanding AP items, including blocked invoices, GRIR, and aged open items Resolving invoice and payment issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders Acting as a key contact for supplier payment and invoice-related inquiries Performing supplier and General Ledger reconciliations Supporting month-end closing activities and supplier statement reconciliations Contributing to process improvements and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements What will make You successful: 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Accounts Payable Degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant secondary education Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage Experience with SAP/S4 HANA or other ERP systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Customer- and service-oriented mindset Team player with a proactive and continuous improvement approach Understanding of accounting principles and business processes What we offer: Working at the world’s only fully integrated aluminum and leading renewable energy company Diverse, global teams Flexible work environment/home office (hybrid) We provide you the freedom to be creative and to learn from experts Possibility to grow with the company Attractive benefit package Equal opportunities At Hydro, we believe diversity makes us stronger.
