About the Role As an Advisor, Governance & Reporting, you will bring prior risk management experience to support the Group Technology Risk Governance and Reporting squad to ensure that risks associated with day-to-day operations are managed, governed and reported on appropriately to protect shareholders, customers and bankers. Under the direction of the Governance & Reporting Manager, support the provision of the squad’s services and prioritising delivery as appropriate. Role Type: Permanent Role Location: Melbourne or Brisbane Work Hours: Fulltime (Hybrid) What will your day look like? You will be accountable for: Risk Committee Reporting: Preparation of exemplary reporting for committees and forums, including Technology Risk Management Committee (TRMC) and various Risk Management forums while ensuring compliance with internal reporting requirements. Collaboration with key stakeholders across Group Technology to facilitate the delivery of required updates and presentations ahead of committee meetings. Providing secretariat support to Group Technology leadership for interactions with relevant risk committees, Boards and sub-committees including monitoring actions assigned to Group Technology Risk Reporting: Gathering and interpreting technology risk data pertaining to leading risk indicators including controls, issues, audits, asset lifecycle management to develop data-driven key messages and insights to drive actions and decision across Group Technology. Analysing technology risk metrics against domain and divisional targets to draw out meaningful insights for Group Technology leadership. Stakeholder Relationship Management & Coordination: Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders for input and communications. Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk culture and awareness within Group Technology. Work with reporting teams across the division to align on data sources, metrics and distributed insights. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Good understanding of non‑financial risk management frameworks, including risk assessment, control environments, and assurance concepts Experience using risk data, dashboards, metrics, or automation tools to support insight led reporting Awareness of regulatory change and impact management principles and delivery tracking Familiarity with enterprise risk standards, governance requirements, and policies Ability to synthesise and analyse risk and control data into clear, structured insights Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills with technology leaders and risk partners Capability to coordinate inputs and activities across multiple teams (e.g. COEs, Controls Testing) Sound risk judgement to identify themes, emerging risks, and matters requiring escalation Clear written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of governance and reporting materials Organisational skills to manage multiple delivery activities concurrently under direction Experience in risk, governance, controls, audit, or assurance roles within a complex organisation Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating risk assessment processes across business areas Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences: Knowledge of specific regulatory regimes relevant to the business area (e.g. CPS 230, conduct, operational resilience, data or financial crime risk) Understanding of end‑to‑end customer journeys or value chains and how risks manifest across them Understanding of event and issue management lifecycles, including root cause analysis and lessons learned Ability to translate complex risk and control concepts into clear senior‑ready narratives Experience facilitating or supporting risk workshops, thematic reviews, or deep dives Exposure to regulatory interactions, reviews, or remediation programs Strong systems‑thinking capability to identify cross‑cutting or systemic risk drivers Experience working in or closely with front‑line business, change, or transformation teams Confidence operating in ambiguous or evolving risk and regulatory environments Informal coaching or quality‑review experience that contributes to capability uplift beyond own deliverables You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
