Job Description AI solution development Design and develop an AI assistant using an approved enterprise platform such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry or an equivalent governed platform. Build the solution only on approved and certified data layers. Do not connect directly to raw transactional systems unless specifically authorized by the relevant data owner. Develop prompts, workflows and retrieval logic that answer manufacturing productivity questions with traceable sources. Create safeguards that reduce unsupported responses, protect confidential information and require citations for quantitative outputs. Develop and maintain a structured test set covering common plant questions, edge cases, access restrictions and expected responses. Opportunity identification and recommendation Analyze certified productivity and cost measures to highlight performance gaps and potential improvement areas by plant, process, asset or loss category. Connect operational losses to relevant cost drivers, including labor hours per unit, scrap, rework, downtime, changeover, energy use and material yield. Develop a recommendation capability that retrieves similar A3, DMAIC, Kaizen, Yokoten and Shingijutsu cases based on problem type, asset, process or waste category. Present recommendations with supporting evidence, source references, estimated value where approved, and clearly stated limitations. Prompt library and knowledge managemen t Create a reusable prompt library for productivity analysis, gap identification, root-cause exploration, best-practice retrieval and improvement-project preparation. Organize prompts by user need and manufacturing-excellence workflow so that plant teams can use them consistently. Document assumptions, approved data sources, expected inputs, output format and known limitations for each prompt or agent feature. Plant capability building and adoption Conduct an AI maturity and readiness assessment for participating plants, covering data availability, tools, skills and adoption barriers. Run pilot sessions, user testing, office hours and short training sessions for plant engineers and Continuous Improvement leads. Collect user feedback and usage evidence, then prioritize improvements based on business value, usability and adoption. Create user guides, quick-reference materials, FAQs, governance guidance and a structured handover package for the designated business owner. Participate in relevant tier meetings and CI reviews to ensure the solution supports existing ways of working rather than creating a parallel process. Candidate Profile Required Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or a related field. Available for a full-time six-month internship. Practical exposure to Python or Power Platform and basic SQL. Interest in AI, manufacturing, operational excellence and business improvement. Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites at Tuas Avenue 2 when required, Primary work location at Jurong east Preferred Exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry or a comparable enterprise agent platform. Understanding of RAG and common failure modes in generative AI solutions. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen or manufacturing project experience. Experience facilitating user testing, training or change adoption. Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, Teams or other Microsoft 365 tools. Why Join Us?
