Role Description
The Analytics Engineer will play a key role in developing and maintaining internal reporting solutions that deliver insights into portfolio performance, product development, and other internal business processes. This role will have responsibility for critical components of the internal reporting lifecycle, including requirements processing, dashboard design, and data validation. Data modeling and ETL/ELT activities will be performed in close coordination with technical teams under the oversight of the Analytics Architect. The engineer will ensure data integrity through testing, contribute to data architecture decisions, and help drive continuous improvement of reporting capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models that support business decision‑making
Support and refine existing Power BI reports and semantic models
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for reporting and analytics solutions
Perform data modeling to support performant, scalable analytics and reporting use cases
Build and maintain ELT/ETL workflows in collaboration with engineering and platform teams
Validate data accuracy and completeness through testing, reconciliation, and proactive issue resolution
Partner with product, finance, and operations stakeholders to refine metrics, definitions, and reporting logic
Contribute to data architecture discussions and follow established standards and best practices
Support continuous improvement of analytics tooling, documentation, and reporting processes
Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies across dashboards, pipelines, and source systems
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a related data role
Proficiency in Power BI and data modeling (including Power Query).
Strong SQL experience.
Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and ETL/ELT concepts.
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
Experience with Python and Azure Data Factory.
Ability to define and document functional and technical requirements clearly.
Strong problem-solving skills for data validation and discrepancy resolution.
Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Background in data modeling and pipeline development preferred
Experience with additional ETL/ELT tools and Azure DevOps APIs preferred
