About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) App-Entwickler Android (m/w/d) to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role offers the opportunity to work at one of our development sites in Erfurt, Mannheim, or Maribor, starting immediately. As an Android developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining a globally deployed Android application dedicated to configuring and managing IoT measurement devices and radio systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware developers, project managers, system architects, and quality assurance, to deliver innovative solutions that meet high standards of quality and performance. Your expertise will contribute to the development of user interfaces, business logic, and technical documentation, ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and software components. Working in an agile and dynamic environment, you will have the chance to influence all phases of the development process, from conception to deployment, and actively participate in international research and development projects. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a solid educational background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, complemented by professional experience in Android app development. Profound knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Kotlin, along with experience in frameworks like Compose and MVVM architecture, is essential. Familiarity with version control systems like GIT and SVN, as well as CI/CD tools, is required. Candidates should possess a strong interest in agile methodologies and tools such as Jira. Experience with AI-driven programming and IoT solutions is highly advantageous. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills in German and English, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within international teams. A passion for emerging technologies, digitalization, and innovation in IoT and AI will set candidates apart. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain a globally used Android application for configuring and managing IoT measurement and radio devices. Create and refine UI concepts and business logic to ensure optimal user experience and functionality. Conduct independent developer tests to validate application performance and reliability. Prepare and update technical documentation, including specifications, realization concepts, detailed descriptions, and implementation instructions, ensuring clarity and completeness. Participate actively in international and cross-site R&D projects, collaborating closely with hardware developers, project managers, system architects, quality assurance, and external partners. Work within an agile environment, managing interfaces effectively and contributing to all project phases with initiative and responsibility.
