In this role, you'll: Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you'll help shape the next generation of technical talent across Sydney Trains. Drawing on your signalling electrical expertise, you'll play a key role in developing employees, apprentices and new starters, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform their roles safely, effectively and in line with industry and organisational standards. This role will see you provide hands-on mentoring, coaching and competency-based assessment within the signalling electrical discipline, support the development of contemporary training resources and assessment tools, and work closely with leaders to identify capability needs and create meaningful development opportunities. You'll influence learning outcomes, contribute to workforce planning initiatives and help foster a culture of learning, growth and continuous improvement across the Engineering and Maintenance Branch. You will share your signalling electrical expertise, develop technical capability and inspire the next generation of rail professionals in a dynamic operational environment where safety, technical excellence and workforce readiness are critical to success. Your work will directly contribute to building a skilled, future-ready workforce capable of supporting the safe and reliable delivery of rail services across Sydney. About you Your technical expertise, leadership qualities and ability to inspire learning, formed across signalling electrical, rail maintenance and operational environments, will see you excel in developing the next generation of rail professionals, strengthening workforce capability and supporting the delivery of high-quality training and assessment programs. You'll bring a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering growth, leading to improved competency, safety and performance outcomes across the business. You're recognised as a trusted technical expert and coach, skilled at mentoring apprentices and employees, facilitating workplace learning and driving capability uplift through practical, hands-on development. Experienced in signalling electrical operations and committed to continuous improvement, you'll thrive in an environment where collaboration, technical excellence and developing others are key to building a skilled and future-ready workforce.
