Being part of upcoming new initiatives of our Spa and Wellness Key Accountabilities Support the Director of Spa & Wellness and assume leadership responsibilities in their absence, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Spa, Fitness, and Wellness facilities. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Spa & Wellness department, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and adherence to established standards and procedures. Create memorable luxury guest experiences by anticipating guest needs, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring effective service recovery when required. Drive commercial and financial performance through revenue generation initiatives, retail sales growth, productivity management, cost control, and achievement of budgeted targets. Lead, coach, motivate, and develop team members through ongoing training, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with Peninsula Service Principles, Peninsula Guest Engagement standards, brand standards, health and safety requirements, and all quality assurance procedures. Monitor guest feedback, operational performance, and market trends, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and business results. Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest experience and support the overall success of the hotel operation.upport the Director of Spa & Wellness and act on their behalf when required. General Requirements Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a luxury spa and wellness environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a Forbes Five-Star or equivalent luxury hospitality setting. Strong understanding of luxury spa operations, including treatment standards, therapist productivity, guest consultations, retail performance, and overall wellness operations. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, fitness professionals, spa concierge, and wellness colleagues. Excellent guest engagement, service recovery, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in both English and Japanese. Strong financial and commercial acumen; degree or diploma in Hospitality, Spa, Wellness, Business Management, or a related field preferred. Additional wellness, fitness, holistic therapy, or leadership certifications are an advantage. We are delighted to receive your resume for further consideration.
