This position manages a variety of projects from concept to completion and is committed to the project's success.This position focuses on the data center projects but is also expected to handle other similar mechanical engineering design projects commensurate with our portfolio of commercial MEP projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead MEP design teams for both greenfield and retrofit data center projectsDefine HVAC technical requirements and coordinate with plumbing, electrical, and fire protection teamsDevelop and refine office design standards for the Data Center and Mission Critical sectorsCollaborate across disciplines to create integrated technical solutionsCoordinate with Energy Modeling teams to optimize for energy efficiency and carbon reduction while maintaining 7x24 reliabilityProvide technical guidance to internal and third-party commissioning teamsRepresent JB&B at industry events, conferences, and seminars to build brand recognitionTravel to client and project sites across the U.S.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience10 years of experience in facility design and construction environmentsExperience in design, construction, and commissioning of data center HVAC, standby generation and associated fuel oil systemsExperience with RevitProfessional Engineering (PE) license, preferredExperience with Chiller, Cooling Towers, AHU, Heat Pumps and Generator designsExperience with energy modelingExperience process water flushing and treatment.Experience with Building Controls SystemsUnderstanding of ASHRAE 90.1,90.4 and TC 9.9 publications 1-14Working Conditions:This position involves sitting, walking, and periods of prolonged standing. Site visits may require use of ladders or lifts and working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions.
