Total public member:                3          Method of Appointment:           Appointed by Mayor, confirmed by Council         Length of Appointment:           3 yearsResidency:                               Strong preference for DC residents from all 8 wards Paid board:                              YesDescription:Accurately maintain a uniform, interactive computerized voter registration list which shall serve as the official voter registration list for all elections in the District, and shall contain the name, registration information, and a unique identifier assigned for every registered voter in the District. Commission membership: The Board shall be composed of 3 members, no more than 2 of whom shall be of the same political party, appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council. Qualifications:  Possesses demonstrated integrity, independence, and public credibility and whether the individual has particular knowledge, training, or experience in government ethics or in elections law and procedure. A person shall not be a member of the Board unless he or she: Is a duly registered voter;Has resided in the District continuously since the beginning of the 3-year period ending on the day he or she is appointed; andHolds no other paid office or employment in the District government and no active office, position, or employment in the federal government. If you are interested in an appointment to this board, please complete the appointment application.
