This person should have a strong focus on day-to-day bookkeeping—AP, AR, and managing accounting entries across operating accounts. Given the nature of this business, it’s critical that this person has experience within CPG—ideally someone who understands manufacturing, COGS, wholesale distribution, and can navigate distributor chargebacks and deductions.ResponsibilitiesManage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and operating bank accountsTrack and record COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and inventory-related transactionsProcess and manage wholesale invoices, payments, and remittancesReconcile and manage distributor chargebacks and deductionsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesWork closely with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate expense classificationMonitor and report on cash flow, outstanding balances, and collectionsMaintain records for sales tax, vendor payments, and other compliance-related itemsCollaborate with external accountants or CPAs as needed for audits or filingsPerform ad hoc administrative, business operations, and special projects tasks as neededQualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPG or manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of CPG accounting workflows, including COGS, wholesale, and inventoryExperience navigating distributor deductions, chargebacks, and trade spendProficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platformsSolid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principlesDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicate clearly and collaborate cross-functionallyProfessional fluency in English with excellent written, reading, and speaking skillsAbility to work in any US time zone, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)Previous experience working the overnight shiftBenefitsCompetitive pay, always in US dollarsWork remotely from the comfort of your homeHealth & wellness benefitPaid holidays and time offPerformance and referral bonusesGlobal exposure to the world’s best companies
