On-Site Bookkeeper / Office Manager (Plymouth County, MA)Type: Full-Time | On-SiteReports to: Owner / Finance ManagerAbout UsWe’re a small, fast-moving business based in Massachusetts. We care a lot about staying organized, keeping clean books, and making smart financial decisions.We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper who enjoys getting into the details, keeping things accurate, and helping a business run smoothly behind the scenes.What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping. Your work will help keep our finances clear, accurate, and up to date.You'll:Keep the general ledger updated and make sure transactions are properly recordedHandle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (invoicing, payments, vendor bills, tracking balances)Do monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and help sort out any discrepanciesSupport payroll processing and coordinate with our payroll providerPrepare monthly and quarterly reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)Help track budgets vs. actuals and flag anything unusual or off-trackMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesAssist with sales tax, payroll tax filings, and other compliance needsWork closely with our external accountant for year-end and tax preparationHelp improve bookkeeping processes and find ways to make things more efficientWhat We’re Looking For2–3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience (small business experience is a plus)Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (required)Comfortable using Excel (formulas, pivots, reconciliations)Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closeUnderstanding of accrual vs. cash accountingFamiliarity with payroll and basic tax filings (sales tax, payroll tax, 1099s)High attention to detail and strong sense of confidentialityMust be willing to work full-time on-site in Plymouth CountyNice to HaveBookkeeping or accounting certification / QuickBooks certificationExperience with budgeting or financial reportingInterest in improving workflows or using automation toolsExposure to ERP systems or inventory-based accountingWhy You’ll Like Working HereStable, on-site role with clear day-to-day responsibilitiesSmall team where your work really matters and is seenOpportunity to grow as the business growsHands-on exposure to the full bookkeeping cycleA supportive environment where improvements and ideas are welcomeCompensation$55,000 – $62,000 annually
