Position Description The press brake operator is responsible for setting up and operating a press brake machine to bend, shape, or cut metal sheets and plates according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring the produced parts meet quality standards by performing necessary adjustments and inspections throughout the manufacturing process. Location : In person, onsite, at 43 Douglas Way, Natural Bridge, VA 24579 Hours : 2nd Shift: 3PM - 11 PM, M-F with OT avalible as needed on weekends Pay : Starting Rate is $24.23/hour after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23 Shift Differential : $1.00 per hour for hours worked during 2nd shfit. Key Responsibilities Set up machines and tooling (punches and dies) using work orders, verbal instruction, or blueprints Operate CNC press brake machine to fabricate, bend, form, or cut metal parts for internal orders Inspect and measure finished parts with tools to ensure they meet quality standards Maintain and clean machinery before and after shifts, and performing minor adjustments Follow safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent hazards Report issues such as machine malfunctions or quality problems to supervisors Perform other duties as assigned Required Education & Qualifications Previous press or related experiance preferred; willing to train the right person High School Diploma or equivalent required Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred Ability to read and interpret prints, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred Why Choose Modine?
