What the Role Does: Turn checkout insights into better customer journeys that improve conversion, user experience, and revenue. As a Checkout Specialist, you will plan, build, launch, and analyze experiments across LawDepot’s checkout funnel. You will drive improvements to the customer experience by testing new ideas, managing a growing backlog of opportunities, and adapting quickly as team priorities change. This is a great opportunity for a versatile, hands-on generalist who enjoys working in a fast, iterative, hypothesis-driven environment. You will use data, customer insights, competitive research, and conversion best practices to develop experiments that improve the customer journey while supporting team and business goals. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work hybrid from our Edmonton, Alberta office. What You’ll Do: - Own checkout experiments end to end, from hypothesis and planning through build, launch, and analysis - Create and implement content and layout experiments across selection, payment, and receipt pages, along with transactional emails - Write clear, conversion-oriented copy that supports customer decision-making and aligns with team goals - Utilize A/B testing to optimize presentation changes and improve the checkout experience - Use experiment results, funnel data, customer segmentation, user research, and competitive research to form well-supported hypotheses - Build production-ready assets for checkout pages - Create specifications and Figma wireframes for larger launches across products and markets - Evaluate experiment performance against goals and make evidence-based recommendations - Manage experiment launches, updates, and takedowns through our internal content management system (CMS) - Collaborate with Development, Product, UX Design, and Analysis teams to deliver successful project launches - Structure content and page layouts to support localization and responsive experiences across devices - Keep backlog statuses up to date and support reliable sprint planning, cycle-time tracking, and team visibility - Work in short cycles, adjusting priorities as team and business needs evolve What You Bring: The Essentials - Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Consumer Psychology, or a related field - Strong conversion-oriented writing skills, with the ability to write copy that supports measurable outcomes - Experience taking digital experiments from planning through launch and results analysis - Understanding of consumer psychology, online marketing, and conversion optimization - Strong ability to learn new content management system tools, quickly and independently - Working knowledge of HTML and CSS to build, adjust, and iterate on visual experiments and responsive layouts - Practical Figma skills for creating clear wireframes, variants, and implementation-ready specifications - Awareness of localization and device considerations when designing content and layouts - Ability to interpret experiment results, funnel data, and usage patterns with sound judgment - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain clear and current project documentation - Collaborative communication style, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams The Nice to Haves (Great if you have it and we’ll help you learn if you don’t) - Ability to utilize AI tools to support drafting, ideation, analysis, prototyping, and workflow efficiency - Experience using A/B testing or experimentation platforms, and reviewing performance reports - Prior SaaS, eCommerce, subscription, or freemium monetization experience - Background in technical writing, UX writing, or content design, with the ability to make complex information clear, useful, and customer-friendly - Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) best practices and content optimization strategies Why You Should Join the LawDepot Team: - Excellent total compensation package - Comprehensive health and dental benefits, plus an additional Health Care Spending / Personal Spending Account - Great work life balance (37.5 hour work weeks, flexible schedules, ability to bank hours) - Three weeks paid vacation, plus bonus personal days - Continuous learning opportunities, including LinkedIn Learning subscriptions and training budgets - Company share plan - Free catered lunches for the entire office - Monthly social events for team members to enjoy (think axe throwing, rock climbing, board games, food trucks, trivia contests, and charitable activities) - Work alongside talented, driven colleagues in a culture focused on quality, reliability, innovation, and growth - Personal offices for focused work and to have your individual space (plus collaborative workspaces for when you want to meet with the team) - Free and easily accessible parking - Southgate Mall, Whyte Ave, and Calgary Trail restaurants are only minutes away - Hybrid working arrangements for that balance between getting work done at home and engaging with others in the office Who We Are: Join one of the fastest growing companies in Canada!
