Job Description We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chef Manager to oversee food service operations in an industrial environment. In addition to leading a small team, you will actively participate in meal preparation, cashier service, inventory management, ordering, and daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly responsible, comfortable working in a setting with strict health and safety standards, and able to manage operational challenges with a high degree of independence and resourcefulness. We are looking for a mature professional who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and delivering simple, comforting, high-quality meals to a workforce-based clientele. Through your practical leadership and strong presence on the floor, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a positive dining experience for our customers. Job Responsibilities Support the daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and company policies. Participate in menu planning to ensure variety, innovation, and adherence to established budget and profitability targets. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service. Manage food ordering and deliveries, ensuring approved suppliers are used and quality standards are consistently met. Ensure HACCP procedures and food safety records are properly implemented, maintained, and kept up to date. Assist with inventory control, staff training, kitchen cleanliness, and overall workplace safety. Collaborate with the Head Chef on risk assessments and maintain effective communication with staff and customers. Adhere to the company dress code and support all reasonable tasks related to the operation of the kitchen. Qualifications Ability to lead kitchen operations and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and leadership skills with employees and customers at all levels. Ability to follow and provide clear instructions, both verbally and in writing. NVQ Levels 1, 2, and 3 (or equivalent) and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. 1-2 years of experience in commercial or industrial food service, including menu planning and HACCP documentation. Reliable, self-motivated, flexible, and willing to participate in additional training when required.
