Chickie's & Pete's Bar Helper - Part TIme

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Assist bartenders and cocktail staff in performance of their duties • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar on a daily basis including before, during and after shift. • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times during shift including: removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, picking up and dumping garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing equipment. • Recite and promote the variety of menu items and hotel services. • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner and conveying hotel activities to guests. • Maintain and organize bars and storerooms including refrigerated units. • Refill chemicals such as hand soap or glass washer chemicals. • Maintain proper inventory of product. • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES • Knowledge of serving alcohol with care and menu products. • Must be able to work in a team environment. • Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and to re-fill ice bins and beer bins, utilizing ice machines, change kegs, transport empty kegs to designated areas. • Candidate must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form. • Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills is required. • Must have the following skills: compiling, coordination, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making. • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES • Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Alcohol Awareness Card. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Previous bar service experience preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, and frequently walking, reaching overhead, bending over, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift. • Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 50lbs or less frequently. • The team member will frequently have repetitive use of both hands and occasional light and firm/strong grasping motions. • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision. • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT • Work performed indoors alone and frequently with and around others.
