Chief Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join our growing medical imaging and healthcare technology organization. This role is critical to maintaining the financial strength of the company by overseeing core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting leadership with reliable, timely financial data.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and brings experience from healthcare, SaaS, or technology-driven environments, with a strong understanding of multi-entity and multi-currency accounting. This is a Hybrid position for someone who resides in Massachusetts. What You’ll DoAccounting & Financial OperationsOversee daily accounting activities including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliationsManage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesMaintain the chart of accounts and accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAPFinancial Reporting & CompliancePrepare and review financial statements and management reportsEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and applicable healthcare regulationsSupport audits, tax filings, and regulatory reportingInternal Controls & Process ImprovementDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assetsIdentify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and efficiencyEnsure strong documentation and audit trails across accounting processesLeadership & CollaborationPartner closely with the CFO, Controller, and executive leadershipProvide insights on revenue recognition, contracts, projects, and operational performanceMentor and support accounting team members as neededIndustry & Global Accounting SupportSupport accounting for medical imaging solutions, software licensing, services, and long-term projectsAssist with multi-currency transactions, international entities, and intercompany accountingCollaborate with operations and project teams to ensure accurate cost and revenue alignmentWhat We’re Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)Minimum 5 years of accounting experienceHands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition principlesExperience with multi-currency and multi-entity accountingSkills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and accounting softwareAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
