This position is for current OKDHS employees only.This position may be located anywhere statewide in Oklahoma.Child Welfare Specialist IV - H23DAnnual Salary: $52,217.89 + Full State Employee BenefitsApplicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.Hours worked may be on-call, extended and/or weekend hrs.On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree plus one year of experience of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist;OR a Bachelors Degree plus two years experience as a Child Welfare Specialist;OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist. Job ResponsibilitiesServes as lead worker or backup supervisor to lower-level Child Welfare Specialists in the Pathways To Launch unit within OK Successful Adulthood (OKSA). Serves as team leader in case staff meetings, provide on-going case consultation, and advises and trains lower-level Child Welfare Specialists in case management and interpretation of policies and procedures.Manages caseload of young adults ages 18-21 participating in the Pathways to Launch extended foster care program through OKSA. May carry complex and difficult caseloads.Assists young adults in developing, implementing, and updating a transition plan; Provides regular reports to an administrative review team on the progress of the transition plan. Assists young adults in skill development, obtaining resources, and securing safe and stable housing. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with community resources, which includes making referrals and follow-up to ensure the initiated services and supports are appropriate to meet the needs of the young adults.Flexible schedule to be available for crisis management if necessary. Hours may vary and include nights and weekends.
