Job Summary: Western Midstream is seeking a Commercial Operations Intern to support the Midstream Scheduling team in The Woodlands, Texas. This internship provides hands-on exposure to how natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil are scheduled and balanced across Western Midstream-operated assets. The intern will work with experienced team members, learn industry systems and terminology, and assist with data review, reporting, and operational coordination. Qualifications: Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, organization, and basic problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and ask questions when clarification is needed. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as knowledge and confidence grow. Coursework, internship experience, or interest in energy, midstream operations, scheduling, accounting, or data analysis. Responsibilities: Learn the daily scheduling process for natural gas, NGLs, and crude oil on Western Midstream-operated systems. Assist the team with reviewing nominations, production volumes, pipeline activity, and imbalances. Support daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal teams, accounting, management, and customers. Help maintain accurate operational records and update scheduling systems under team guidance. Review actual versus forecasted volumes and help identify differences or trends. Work with Commercial Operations, Field Operations, Accounting, Commercial Development, Marketing, producers, and pipeline contacts to understand how information moves across the business. Assist with tracking operational events such as new wells, outages, new lines, processing changes, and other activities that may affect scheduled volumes. Participate in team cross-training and learn how scheduling decisions support reliable operations and customer commitments. Complete a summer project or analysis and present key findings, lessons learned, and recommendations to the team. Education: Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. A relevant major in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred. Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation. Travel Requirements: Travel may be required up to 5%. Work Schedule: This position follows a hybrid schedule: in office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and remote Wednesday and Friday.
