Company: NorthEast Sportsfield-RecLocation: Greater Boston / Eastern MassachusettsNorthEast Sportsfield-Rec designs and builds high-quality athletic fields, running tracks, playgrounds, and park spaces across New England. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Playground Construction Foreman / Installer to lead crews in the field and take pride in delivering safe, well-built public spaces for schools, towns, and communities.This is a full-time, year-round role with strong earning potential, steady work (including winter snow operations), and real opportunities for growth for the right person.What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you’ll take the lead on-site—guiding your crew, keeping projects on track, and making sure every installation meets safety and quality standards.You’ll be responsible for:Leading and organizing daily and weekly work plans for your crewInstalling commercial playground equipment and related site features based on manufacturer specs and project drawingsOperating equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and other machinery as neededEnsuring all work meets safety standards, specifications, and quality expectationsProviding hands-on guidance and support to your crew in the fieldKeeping track of crew hours and completing daily job reportsCoordinating with general contractors, superintendents, and project managers on site logistics, deliveries, and schedulingRunning weekly safety meetings and maintaining a strong safety cultureAttending job meetings when requiredWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone with solid field experience who’s ready to step into a leadership role and take ownership of their work.High school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 5 years of playground installation or closely related construction experienceExperience with systems like LSI, GameTime, Kompan, or similar is a strong plusValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and grading plansComfortable using mobile job management toolsStrong communication skills when working with clients, contractors, and crewsWillingness to travel and stay overnight for 5+ days when neededNice to have (or willingness to obtain):Hydraulic license (within 60 days of hire)CDL Class A or BDOT Medical CardCSPI and/or NPCAI certificationWhat We OfferWe take care of our team and invest in people who want to grow with us.Competitive hourly pay: $30–$40/hr, depending on experiencePrevailing wage opportunities: $68–$72/hr on eligible projectsYear-round work, including winter snow operationsHealth insuranceRetirement planPaid time offPerformance-based bonusesTraining support and help with certifications/licensesAnnual performance and merit reviewsReal opportunities for advancement within the companyScheduleThis is a full-time, year-round position.Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PMSaturdays as needed during busy seasonsWinter hours may vary depending on snow operations and weather conditions
