As part of a new placement we are searching for WEPA Group as soon as possible for a Converting Technology & Process Technology Leader (m/f/d) Your Tasks: You monitor technology developments and analyze key suppliers in the market, providing recommendations on technology and supplier selection based on performance, reliability, investment costs and total cost of ownership. You drive innovation in converting processes and products, establishing and promoting best practices, technical standards and maintenance concepts for rewinder equipment across the WEPA Group. You perform data analysis and provide insights to your converting partners, enabling them to execute gap-closing initiatives based on line performance data and reliability engineering principles and methodologies. You lead the optimisation and modernisation of WEPA's rewinder machine park, supporting major replacement projects and ensuring alignment with the objectives of the Consumer and Professional Business Units. You lead engineering studies for new converting projects, from unwind stand to palletisation, defining layouts, technical specifications, capacities and equipment concepts in close collaboration with Procurement and project stakeholders. You own and manage the relationship with key OEMs within your area of expertise. You develop and maintain the Group technology strategy for tissue products in partnership with Marketing, Production and other key functions, ensuring competitiveness and long-term operational excellence. You support the Head of Capex & Operating System and project managers in identifying and implementing the most suitable technological solutions for investment projects across the WEPA Group. You define and standardise equipment and technology standards, ensure alignment with the objectives of the Consumer and Professional Business Units, and drive harmonisation across sites. You coach and develop site experts through standards, skill matrices and capability-building initiatives, while leading expert networks to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across WEPA. You lead the start-up of new machines, ensuring that vertical start-up criteria are met, including KPIs such as OEE improvement, total execution downtime for interventions, and the availability of all required deliverables prior to start-up. Your Profile: Personality: Strategic and analytical mindset with strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills; capable of translating business requirements into technological solutions; proactive, results-oriented and able to influence stakeholders across functions and locations. Working: Structured and collaborative approach with excellent communication and project management skills; comfortable working in international and cross-functional environments; able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical support and implementation. Collaborative coach and mentor who enjoys developing people, establishing standards and driving knowledge sharing across multiple sites. experience and Know-how: Minimum 5 years of experience in converting technologies, industrial manufacturing or engineering; strong expertise in tissue product converting processes and equipment; experience in engineering design, technology selection, supplier management and capital investment projects; sound understanding of manufacturing technologies, equipment standards and continuous improvement principles. Excellent digital skills to analyse line performance data and drive improvements in key reliability engineering KPIs. Qualification: Master or PhD preferred (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Technology or a comparable technical field. Languages: The ability to speak English in a business setting is essential. German and other language skills are advantageous.
