Job description

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $400M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing. About 1Password At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work. If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future. As 1Password’s Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), you’ll establish and lead our next major international market, building a durable, partner-led growth model across the region. You’ll own regional growth strategy, revenue performance, customer experience and the development of a local go-to-market team spanning Sales, Channel, Business Development, Solutions Engineering and Customer Success. Reporting to the SVP, Sales, this Sydney-based role will help more organizations protect access and strengthen security while shaping how 1Password serves customers and partners across ANZ. How we’re using AI today Across GTM, we’re transforming the way we work with AI. We expect every seller, CSM, and team member to become a power user, using it daily to work smarter and move faster. AI is already embedded in how we operate – from real-time coaching that sharpens how we sell and interact with customers, to surfacing insights that help us anticipate needs – creating more time for meaningful customer engagement. If you’re excited to reshape how you think, make decisions, and drive growth with AI, you’ll feel right at home here. This is a remote opportunity within Australia. Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto. What we're looking for: - Significant leadership experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, cloud, identity or a related technology market, including substantial experience in Australia and New Zealand. - A track record of launching, building or scaling a regional business with accountability for revenue, people, partners and customer outcomes. - Deep ANZ market credibility and an established executive network across customers, distributors, resellers, service providers and the broader technology ecosystem. - Proven channel-first leadership, including the ability to create strong partner economics and make indirect routes to market a core operating model. - Experience leading multiple go-to-market disciplines, such as enterprise or commercial Sales, Channel, Business Development, Solutions Engineering and Customer Success. - Strong people leadership, commercial judgment and operational discipline across recurring-revenue business models, forecasting, pipeline creation, expansion and retention. - Preferred: Experience with identity and access management, privileged access, Software as a Service (SaaS) security, developer security or artificial intelligence security; familiarity with complex enterprise buying processes and sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC. Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand, with occasional international travel, is expected. What you can expect: - Own the ANZ business plan and revenue outcomes across new business, expansion and retention, establishing a clear cadence for forecasting, pipeline inspection, account planning and performance management. - Translate 1Password’s global strategy into a regional operating plan that reflects local buying behavior, market dynamics, competitive conditions and regulatory requirements. - Build a channel-first growth engine by developing distributors, resellers and service providers through joint business plans, enablement, clear rules of engagement and measurable pipeline goals. - Serve as an executive sponsor for priority customers and prospects, strengthening relationships with Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and other business leaders. - Recruit, onboard and develop a high-performing Sydney-based team while establishing clear roles and effective collaboration across Sales, Channel, Business Development, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing and Support. - Bring customer insight, competitive intelligence and regional requirements to Product, Engineering and other global leaders, particularly around data residency, regulated industries, public-sector needs and local support. - Represent 1Password across the ANZ market through executive customer and partner meetings, industry events, advisory forums, stakeholder relationships and locally relevant thought leadership. What success looks like: Within your first 12 months, you will: - Establish 1Password as a credible, locally led security partner across ANZ. - Build and ramp the core regional team with clear accountability, strong handoffs and a reliable operating cadence. - Activate a focused distributor and reseller ecosystem that supports pipeline creation, customer adoption, expansion and retention. - Transition existing ANZ accounts into the local operating model while protecting customer relationships and revenue. - Accelerate new-business and expansion pipeline while maintaining strong deal quality and partner economics. - Create an evidence-based plan for public-sector and regulated-industry growth. - Build trusted partnerships with global Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Experience and go-to-market leaders. At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Our culture At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first. The way we bring those values to life every day is guided by our 1Password Behaviors for Success https://1password.com/blog/how-to-interview-with-confidence-at-1password. How we work with AI We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password. This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part.
