Roles & Responsibilities Credit Officer- Irish Agents Team Reports to Irish Agents Credit Manager Role Description We are looking to recruit a Credit Officer to join the Irish Agents Credit Team. This team is responsible for the Vetting, Monitoring, and Collections functions for two independent fuel card companies operating in Ireland. This would be an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to challenge and improve existing processes and procedures, influence new ways of working and broaden their knowledge across the full credit control function. Due to the end-to-end nature of the role, the successful candidate will develop skills across all critical areas of credit control, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the function and its impact. Responsibilities Key Tasks Analyse and collate data from multiple sources to complete thorough risk reviews Communicate risk recommendations to senior stakeholders to help shape risk/reward decisions Review financial information and assess risk profiles to support credit decisions Maintain accurate customer credit limits to ensure accounts remain within approved thresholds Monitor customer transaction levels , identifying potential misuse or fraudulent activity Ensure accurate and timely record keeping across all credit-related systems and documentation Individual Management Workload planning and prioritisation Daily review of credit limit breaches, prioritising workload based on risks Manage accounts through to conclusion, obtaining buy-in for actions from key stakeholders Fraud prevention using spend trends to identify risks Timely query resolution, working with colleagues in Sales, Fin Ops and Transaction Queries to resolve issues Manage the relationship with sales team to ensure open communication and agreed level of risk/ reward Underwrite credit limits Presenting credit recommendations to key stakeholders Credit alert management, ensuring effective decisions are made to minimize risk Processing of new applications within a timely manner, including underwriting new business Ensuring that we are adhering to Insurance Policies, reporting of non-payments applying appropriate customer credit limits Responding to customer queries/complaints effectively & efficiently Dealing with customer payments and ledger management Departmental and Business integration Actively engage in relevant and appropriate opportunities for cross-department working to build relationships Participate in meetings and projects with wider credit team to continually improve department performance Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders within the Radius Group & Irish Agents Sharing best practise across the whole Credit Department, obtaining ideas of implementation into the Irish Agents Team Customer service skills and demonstrate the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload Strong Excel skills Diligent & a keen eye for detail Own queries and problem resolution Excellent ability to communicate at all levels Flexible approach and attitude Organised & able to work accurately within a timeframe Benefits: A friendly culture that mirrors our proposition to our customers.
