Job description

Reporting to the Head of Business Improvement and Risk, this role will utilise data and analytics to deliver trusted insights that support decision making and continuous improvement across the JB Hi-Fi Group. You will partner with stakeholders to develop and maintain reporting and analytical solutions, translating enterprise data into meaningful insights that support business outcomes within the Business Improvement and Risk function. Other responsibilities will include: Deliver reporting, analytics, and data solutions that support business performance and decision making. Generate actionable insights from complex data to identify opportunities, assess initiatives, and improve outcomes. Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage analytics, automation, and AI to optimise processes and drive operational efficiency. Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned to business needs. Support data quality, governance, reporting and visualisation initiatives to improve the consistency, reliability and usability of business insights. Provide analytical expertise, stakeholder guidance and support for Business Intelligence solutions and improvement initiatives. Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related discipline, and/or 3-5 years' experience in a data analytics, business intelligence or reporting-related role Working knowledge of data and analytics platforms, reporting and business intelligence solutions, data governance principles and ethical use of data. Experience developing queries, scripts and analytical solutions using data from multiple sources, with proficiency in SQL and exposure to Python and/or R. Strong experience developing data visualisations, dashboards and paginated reporting solutions using Power BI. Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and communicate analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in data cleansing, enrichment, metadata management and data quality improvement activities. Experience using AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to support data analysis, reporting, insight generation or process improvement. Experience working within reporting and analytics development practices, including testing, version control and deployment processes.
