Data Annotation Manager

At XDOF, we're at an inflection point. Frontier labs are racing to build general-purpose robots, and high-quality training data is the bottleneck. We're building the foundation behind the foundation models – the data collection systems, operational capability, exabyte-scale data warehouse, and software toolchain – to help our partners drive the field forward. Data annotation is where raw data becomes a training signal, and quality here compounds into everything the models learn downstream. We're looking for a Data Annotation Manager to lead a large team of annotators, hold the line on quality, and build the operation that makes accurate, consistent data possible at scale. WHAT YOU'LL DO - manage a large team of data annotators, from hiring and training to holding the team accountable to a high bar - learn the work deeply enough to coach the team through it, not just manage it from the outside - uphold quality standards and catch problems before they compound downstream - lead by example, doing the work yourself when it matters - improve operations continuously, spotting inefficiencies and fixing them - build and grow the team as the work scales - do what it takes to fully understand requirements and set the standard for others to follow ABOUT YOU - holds a bachelor's degree from a reputable university - experience managing large annotation teams - comfortable leading high-volume, quality-driven operations - excellent written and spoken English, with impeccable grammar and exceptional attention to detail - adaptable, and thrives when priorities and requirements change - takes ownership, moves quickly, and proactively solves problems - comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment - willing to work from XDOF's South Jakarta office - open to international travel to support global offices - Mandarin/Chinese is a plus You might be a good fit if you're mission-driven and energized by building the operational backbone behind frontier AI data work.
