The Destination Sales Representative promotes the sale of overnight leisure group business for Jay Peak Resort in all lodging properties and event venues throughout the year by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned) Outbound sales efforts via telephone, email and site visits to corporations, secondary schools and colleges/universities, and social groups, prospecting and selling year-round group-based business to Jay Peak Resort. Drive lodging-based leisure group business at Jay Peak Resort with a focus on up-selling food and Beverage, Pump House Water park events, lift tickets, golf, and all other potential group-based activities while on-resort. Develop proposals for new and repeat inquiries and respond to RFPs from group leads, Work closely with group leaders to assure the best possible match in services to the group’s expectation and needs. Work closely with Destination Services Coordinator to secure room blocks, process deposits and payments, along with rooming list coordination. Addressing cancellations and additions to existing contracts. Work closely with the assigned BEO coordinators for planning private group meals and booking venue space for group activities. Guide group guests to transportation options, plus assisting with additional on-resort transportation needs for destination groups, accommodating regional transportation as needed. Host familiarization tours of Jay Peak Resort and surrounding areas. Coordinate all aspects of the tour including accommodations, food and beverage, and any other relevant activities and aspects of the tour with the appropriate departments. Meet with group leaders while on-resort, to confirm service delivery by the resort. Daily maintenance of sales schedule for accounts, contacts, and leads for on-going communication, and planning tasks and activities, etc. Develop and maintain relationships with group-based customers. Investigate any group issues that may result before, during or after the group's stay. Work closely with the Destination Sales Manager and DOS to provide the appropriate resolution to those issues. Attend regional, Canadian and east coast trade shows as needed for year-round group business. Update weekly, bi-weekly, and seasonal reports in coordination with the Senior Sales Manager and Director of Sales, as needed. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Must hold a valid State of Vermont Driver’s License and be eligible for enrollment as a driver on a Jay Peak Resort’s Commercial Automobile policy.
